2025 Student Scholarship Spotlight

We are proud to recognize Kirrian Woodard, a first-year student at the College of Charleston, as a 2025 Williams Education Foundation Scholarship recipient. Kirrian was awarded $500 to further her educational journey as she prepares for a future in teaching.

Driven by purpose and passion, Kirrian represents the next generation of educators who understand that teaching is not just about instruction but about transformation.

2025 Scholarship applicant Kirrian Woodard shares a powerful vision for her future in education. Driven by her belief that education changes lives, Kirrian aspires to be a teacher who shapes not only academic success but also confidence, character, and self-worth. Inspired by educators who believed in her, she is passionate about serving as a role model—particularly for young Black girls—so they see themselves represented, valued, and capable of achieving their dreams. To Kirrian, teaching is more than a profession; it is a calling to uplift and empower the next generation.

🎉 Educator Appreciation in Action

In October, the Williams Education Foundation proudly sponsored its first-ever Educator Appreciation Lunch, celebrating over 75 educators and staff members. The event featured “A Taste of Jamaica”—with jerk chicken, curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and beverages—bringing culture, community, and gratitude together in one powerful moment.
